Introduction to Programming with Lego Robotics
4 CR, Tu/Fri 1:30-2:50 in Sci 217 with Jim Mahoney. Introductory.
Learn to program in Java. Teach Lego robots various
stunts. Study the
fundamental notions behind computer programming, such
as abstraction, modularity, data structures, syntax,
and procedures. Play with Legos some more.

4 CR, Tu/Thur 11:30-12:50 in Sci 117 with Jim Mahoney. Intermediate.
An examination of some of the classic recipes of computer science,
such as searching methods and data structures, hashes,
monte carlo methods, parsing,and cryptography.
Expect some math. Other topics may include Turing machines and
cellular automata.

- Contra Dance, Waltz, Swing, and All That
1 CR, Mon 6:30-7:30pm in Persons with Jim Mahoney. Introductory.
Go down to the Greenfield Grange nearly any Friday or
Saturday night and you'll find the place packed with folks having
a blast. In this class we'll practice the lead/follow
dance vocabulary common to this sort of social dancing, so that
you too can have people lining up to spend time in your arms.
We'll also take some weekend van trips to various local dances.
