Jolly Green Giant Accordian Player

(1) Copy rectangle around player; make new window; paste; anchor.
(2) Tried selecting with threshold (Image:Color) but wasn't clean.
(3) Selected with PATH tool; duplicated path; path to selection;
    saved as selected_accordian.xcf  (Gimp format)

(4) selected castle front and water below with PATH;
    copied to new layer.

(5) cut accordian player from other picture with selection;
    pasted to new layer and adjusted position between castle
    and background.

(6) Adjusted color of accordian player a bit darker:
     - could use Image:Color options (if put in new image first);
    ended up making a new layer from giant selection
    (used MagicWand with wide region of selectivity).

(7) Selected over-white parts of accordian with magic wand;
    saved selection to channel; made new layer; paint bucket 
    pasted gray into new layer; used a blending mode to darken
    the accordian slightly.

(8) flattened image.  Shrunk by 33%.  Slanted with perspective.

Notes:
 * I'm not happy with the border around the giant - a bit too wide.
 * Didn't put in green tint on hands, face: select those areas, 
   convert to mask; make new layer; get selection; paint green; 
   play with blending modes and transparency.
 * Didn't get frame (Google: "picture frame").
