The ArcExplorer project SAMPLE_ORTHOS.AEP is set up to view parcel data in conjunction with the State of Vermont digital orthophotos. To use this file, you must have the two sample digital orthophotos from this CD-ROM on your hard drive, on the C: drive, and in a folder called ORTHOS. The ArcExplorer project ORTHOS.AEP is set up to read all 12 orthophotos that cover the Town of Marlboro. Only two of the orthophotos are included on this CD. Digital orthophotos may be obtained by contacting the Vermont Mapping Program at 802-241-3552. Their web site is http://www.state.vt.us/tax/map2.htm. The Town of Marlboro should also have a set of orthophoto CDs. If you store your orthophotos on your hard drive, in a folder called C:\ORTHOS, then you can use these ArcExplorer projects directly. If you store your orthophotos in another folder, or wish to access the orthophotos directly from a CD, then the file ORTHOS.AEP must be altered so that it contains the paths (i.e. the reference to the disk and folder) to where the orthophotos are stored. To set the orthophoto path, open the file ORTHOS.AEP in Notepad, Wordpad, or some other text editor, using the find/replace option, replace the text 'C:\ORTHOS' with the path for your orthophotos (for example, if you will read the orthophotos from a CD-ROM, and your CD drive is F:, then replace 'C:\ORTHOS' with the text 'F:'; if you will copy the orthophotos to your hard drive and place them in the folder C:\GISDATA\ORTHOS, then replace 'C:\ORTHOS' with the text 'C:\GISDATA\ORTHOS').
