Between his junior and senior years, Ambrose Sterr '07 did some research work with me on the Oberwolfach Problem. The problem concerns arranging the mealtime seating of mathematicians at a conference so that each of them sits next to every other during the course of the conference. We'll spend a class playing with this puzzle, and consider what Ambrose and I achieved and what is still to be done.
