3. start working through buffer lab together; I will some of my notes here at the end of class.
Discuss gcc's built-in stack protection on modern linux :
- SSP version vs -fno_stack_protector" : ./bufbomb
- I haven't (yet) tested SSP (default gcc compile) 'smoke' version : ./bufbomb_spp
After class : I've uploaded a .zip
file of my notes and work on the "level 0: candle" exercise to the
protected folder.
