Right now I'm trying to very carefully follow the instructions on how to make the fabric bend sensors. It turns out I was making them way too big, too.
I'm going to make this one bend sensor and see if it works. If it turns out to work really well, I'll cut the materials for another several of them so I can work elsewhere and don't have to carefully stencil out the materials every time I want to make one. I think this would help with set-up and take down time of making just one at a time. I think if I really want this thing to exist sometime before the end of the semester (aka, next week) I need to start carrying the materials around with me so I can work on making the bend sensors pretty much anywhere during down time.
I acquired a new kind of adhesive for sticking on the tiny fabric tabs. It seems to work really well.
I started trying to splice in the eyebrow code into my existing bend sensor code but that doesn't seem particularly useful at the moment. I suppose if I want some kind of prototype thing for next thursday (open studios) making something like that would be a good show and tell type object.
The attached picture is a test piece of neoprene fused to conductive fabric.
