Homework note : grading for midterm projects is still coming; should happen over Hendriks.
First, finish midterm project presentations.
Look at Alex Her.'s alarm clock code , and continue talking about bits and operations on bits.
Mention three ways to do what he's doing :
- bit and
- bit and with shift in a loop
- Alex Hiam's "set the chip port directly" trickiness
Then have an open discussion on some possibilities for final projects,
what sorts of components are needed for them, tradeoffs and costs
