Talking about starting with IPython notebooks, perhaps with a statistics / plots / math formulas with LaTeX some sort of writeup to see how it works.

Jim suggested maybe something with the crooked dice, and showed an example from the info theory class

For next time:

Create an IPython notebook like that one with some toy data and plots. Include some simple LaTeX and markdown in the "descriptive" cells.

Basically, start reading the IPython docs, do some examples, look at other folks work.
