Talked about Gnu Taler , a proposed anonymous buy/sell, and Sam's issue with it, namely that the metadata (i.e. transaction amount and date) would be enough to connect you with a purchase.
Larger topic of "fuzzy" zones of public key (i.e. fingerprint) that all work with one private key.
[ ... fuzzy public ... ] <=> private key Can also be used for "fine grained access rights"
Started with public/private key scheme where you can choose the public, i.e. "me@there.com", and the certificate authority can construct a corresponding private key.
Also discussed that this works with a hierarchy of authorities, (IT_department ... manager ... user) sort of thing.
These schemes are not currently in common use.
