Preparation
Friday Jan 23rd
- Make sure you can access the Strang book.
- Cast your mind back to what Calculus you've done previously ready for a conversation about what we should cover in the first week to get everyone on the same page.
Monday Jan 26th

- Make sure you've had a good go at the assignment due on Monday; there will be time in class to ask questions.
- Read Strang 7.1 on Integration by Parts.
Friday Feb 6th
Monday Feb 9th
- Check that you're up-to-speed with Strang 6.1 to 6.4. (This should be familiar material.)
- Make sure you've had a good go at the assignment due on Wednesday; there will be time in class to ask questions.
Monday Feb 16th
- From Stewart's Calculus. Read the subsections on the Logistic Equation and Predator-Prey Systems. These are numbered 9.5 and 9.7 in the copy on reserve in the library; if you have a different edition/version this might be different.
Friday Feb 20th
- Make sure you've had a good attempt at the assignment due on the 23rd. There will be some time to ask questions about it.
- Read Strang 8.1 and 8.2.
Monday Feb 23th
- Make sure you've had a good attempt at the assignment due on the 25th (note date change!). There will be some time to ask questions about it.
- Read Strang 8.3 and browse through all of 8.4, 8.5 and 8.6 to get a sense of which one you'd like to work on (everyone will do one of these sections thoroughly and share the ideas with the rest of the class on Friday).
Friday Feb 27th
- Be ready to present with your group.
Friday Mar 6th
- As much of Strang 9.1, 9.2 and 9.3 as you can (sorry for getting this up late).

- Be ready to share the ideas from the topic you've been studying independently with the rest of the class.

- Look through the Mock Exam (attached below) and try some of the questions (especially ones you expect to struggle with).
