Questions about anything?
Your first homework assignment is due Friday by the end of the day, which you can submit on paper, by email, or through the website, whichever you prefer.
Depending on how far we get today, we'll finish the chapter 1 material on Thursday or begin the chapter 2 on probability.
The plan today is

1

Go over the "Intro to Data" lab , and try some recipes from the ggplot2 standard graph recipes , which is listed on the resources page.

2

In small groups, look at the built-in iris data, building graphs (box, point, bar) to answer question like
What differences are there between the species? If you are given a flower's measurements, how would you classify it? What relations are there between sepal and petal size in a single species?

3

Come back together to share results.
(Here are a couple examples of mine.)
