I didn't get as much done over break as I wanted, but I did get a few things done. First, I brought my Python code up to PEP-8 standards and added more consistent docstrings for most of my functions. Second, I got something closer to a draft done, though it's still missing important chunks. The paper is now in my GitHub repo.
