Pink Flamingos
Pink Flamingos is without a doubt, John Waters' filthiest, most grotesque, contraversial and favorite cult film to date. This film tells the story of two families battling over the title of "Filthiest People Alive." The protagonist family, headed by a 300-pound-drag queen named Babs Johnson (Divine), constantly tries to out do their competitors (a husband and wife team) and often commit if not criminal acts, than acts of pure revulsion. The antagonist family makes their living by capturing pregnant girls, and keeping them locked in a dungeon until they have a baby which is then sold to lesbian couples. To further ascert the crude nature of the film, all acts lead up to one final scene where Divine eats real dog excriment. This movie has by far set the standard for any gross out movie to follow.
