I recommend trying some of the easier practice problems before plunging into the for-credit assignments.
The deadline is 4pm on the given date unless otherwise stated.
Assignment 0: Read the section ``A Preview Of Calculus" in Stewart (pp.~2--10) and then show up in class on Friday morning.
Assignment 1: From Stewart, Appendix D (pp. A32 and A33 in my book): 74, 82. From Stewart, Chapter 1:
Both Assignment 0 and Assignment 1 are ungraded (but required). I've reformated the page in this way so that their slots have disappeared on the grades page.
