Phosphates in surface waters
You'll use the phosphate assay to assess the effect that human activity has on local streams and ponds.
Assignment for 11/13:
- Write a paragraph on why we should pay attention to phosphates in surface waters
- Devise a hypothesis on phosphates in surface waters that you can test using the phosphate assay

Making biodiesel
We'll use some variation on the "biodiesel lab" protocol posted below.
Notes on some things to do to set up the wiki page for the course
- First log in as the site admin or course faculty.
- On any page, click the "edit" tab to change it or upload attachments.
- Create new directories and upload files from directory listings.
- Create new pages by visiting them, like this : new page.
- Add students from the users page.
- Edit the navigation menus.
- Create assignments.
- Grade and comment on student submitted work from the grades page.
