- What is a pixel? Are SVG images made up of pixels?
- What is the difference between a JPG and PNG image? When would you use each?
- What is "24bit color"? "32bit color"?
- What color is (255,255,0)?
- Install the GIMP and (if time allows) Inkscape on your computer, if you have one. See the resources page for links. Start playing around with at least one of them. (The lab computers have GIMP.)
- Finally, tell me something about yourself :
- What experience do you have with computer applications for images, sound, video, etc?
- What particularly are you interested in?

- b) prepared to share a gimp technique of your choice; browse the resources or google around for resources.

- source files (anything you used to start from)
- If the files are big, talk to Jim about a way to deliver them that isn't through the web page, such has a CD or flash drive copy or whatever.

- a place for Jim to record the course grade.
