Overflows :
We went over more of the buffer overflow stuff:
- worked through level 1, putting the cookie 8 bytes past the level 0 return address
- talked a bit about the SPP (Stack Smashing Protection) random canary installed by the default ubuntu linux compile, and how it works.
Read chapter 6, on the memory; we'll discuss Thu.
