I just saw a note in the wp-hackers mailing list from a guy working on a plugin to allow, in his words, Django style url specification in WordPress. At this point the url specification in WordPress is somewhat limited and not terribly intuitive. He was asking if anyone wanted to help with it so I sent him an email expressing interest.
