Jim's
Tutorials

Fall 2014
course
navigation

Oct 10

John didn't come - 2nd time consecutive.
Greg & Jim went over complex exponentials, and did \( \frac{1+i}{3-2i} \) and \( i^{\;i} \) by hand using the tricks of multiplication of top & bottom by complex conjugate, and changing \( 0 + 1i \) to its polar form \( e^{i\pi/2} \) .
We also worked through sin(), cos(), exp() with the Taylor series polynomial expansion, and how that is way to see the connection between the three.
Assignment for Greg : find John & review this stuff with him as a way to make it more solid.
