Our agenda for today is ...
1. Finish going over the homework by looking at my alcohol.csv data.
2. Review for quiz on Tuesday :
- normal distribution : pnorm, qnorm, and all that.
- confidence intervals : when and why to use sd/sqrt(n)
- hypothesis test framework : alpha (significance cutoff), pvalue, type1 & type2 errors, and what parts of the experimental design can go wrong (particularly changing design after seeing data : cherrypicking)
3. Beth will be joining us to discuss data sources for projects.
