Cookie Lab
Today we'll do a preview of whole semester,
looking for the answer to a question with numerical
data and graphs and statistical tests.
The point isn't to understand all the details (yet),
but to get a sense of where we're going.
The basic question is this: what are the best cookies?
I have brought some cookies to class for our consideration.
Our first task is to decide on a way
to generate some data for analysis,
using these cookies and your sense of
"cookie goodness".
Once we have some data , some questions are
- What is the best cookie?
- How confident are we of that?
- Is there any relation between quality and price?
- What price would be appropriate for the unpriced one?
