Discuss status of your term projects
- What algorithms are you using?
- What error rates?
- What sizes of blocks, words, checks, and all that?
- How many errors do you expect in (say) Moby Dick? Mistakes?

I'm not going to give any written assignment for crypto.
We're talking about it this week as a related cool thing
to know about, while you're working on your term projects.
Last week we started talking about crypto, and I put up
a bunch of readings.
Discussion of the big picture of what's what ?
a scenario
To make things more practical and specific, suppose that we
wanted to add strong crypto to the transmission project
that you folks are doing. To do so we would need at least
(a) a choice of crypto algorithm, and (b) a method of
key negotiation. And we'd probably also need to choose
a block chain algorithm like CBC (as mentioned last week).
While they aren't the standard choices, I suggest considering these two :
