New assignment. Due Monday 2/20 in class
Use PVWatts to find the annual production of a 1 kW PV array in Marlboro VT. PVWatts was created by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
Some settings you should leave as the default, others you can experiment with. Here are my suggestions:
- DC system size [use "1"]
- Module Type [leave as default, "standard"]
- Array Type [leave as default, "Fixed"]
- System Losses (%) [leave as default, "14"]
- Tilt (deg) [experiment with this setting!]
- azimuth (deg) [remember what Gary suggested we use for "solar south"? If not, experiment. In fact, experiment even if you do remember.]
Bring your results to class on Monday.
Format notes
