Current plan for the schedule going forward. (End of the term will be coming up fast ...)

• Tue Nov 6 : chap 8 (signals & processes) & chap 10 (input/output)
• Tue Nov 13 : chap 9, virtual memory (lots of ground to cover)
• Tue Nov 20 : chap 12, concurrency (Thanksgiving week; no Thu class)
• Tue Nov 27 : nothing due ; we'll discuss chap 11, networks
• Tue Dec 4 : last class ; present a second lab writeup (attack, shell, or malloc)

Review & finish discussion of chapter 8 ... perhaps run some of their code examples ?

Look over the shell lab - part of homework is for you to describe what needs to be done.

Go over (briefly) the chapter 10 input/output CMU slides.

Coming next week : chap 9, which is big - you may want to start reading that.
