Starting to use Wireshark to look at packets, network traffic, and all that ...

Your mission :

• start wireshark & begin capturing packets
• do something online (browse mail, listen to a podcast, load a web page, ...)
• stop wireshark ... and look at all the pretty packets
• google the protocols you see ... perhaps filtering to get one "conversation"
• figure out what's doing what
• ... profit.
