April 13
First : checking in with everyone ... what are you up to and how are you doing?
Second : discuss "just another day at the office"
Third : recipes ... I'm not seeing much go on over there yet. Should we do something else?
Perhaps instead of the recipes, you folks should pick yor own
related topic to explore and then share with class?
Let's discuss.
Possibilities :
- build a website (flask or php or whatever) with cross-site scripting or sql injection issues
- use wireshark to explore your home network, seeing what you can find as if you were an intruder
- explore nmap and [other pentest network tools. google keywords like "network pentest practice sites" and "pentest practice mapping a network" for tools, procedures, and sites to practice on
- play red team and/or blue team with tools like snort and nessus , with someone else in the class
- read about, explore, and look at the tech for the "dark web"
Thoughts ?
We decided to break into teams and do some red/blue stuff ...
see the redblue page .
