- Send me (mahoney@marlboro.edu) an email telling that you're taking the class. Tell me a little about your background and interest in this subject.
- Browse through the online links in the "help" and "resources" sections to the left.
- Search online through google or other search engines for articles and critiques, and read about the history behind the One Laptop per Child initive. The wikipedia article is a good starting place, but don't stop there.
- Add at least one link to to the "resources" section from your internet surfing.
- If you have one, start playing around with it.
- Come to class prepared to talk about some of this stuff.

final paper
- Write a paper on a topic your choice.
- Equivalent of 5+ pages of work.
- May be a description of an implementation, exploration, or programming project.
- Or a "how-to".
- Or something built on a discussion that you led.
